The Founding of America: A Revolutionary Success

Member's Only event: October 21, 2011
Exhibit Opening: October 23, 2011

The exhibit is currently in the Fabrication Stage. This means we are in the process of getting things from the old exhibit out, building and painting new walls, and laying new carpet.

Before we got to this stage, however, our Exhibits Curator, Amber, had some major work to do. She had to draw up a floor plan that exactly matched the measurements for the space, including the exact size of the displays to be used.

Another important job that is curretly in process is transcribing all of the documents. This exhibit contains many old documents from our nation's presidents and heroes, but most of them are very hard to read because of the language or handwriting the author used. One of the jobs the Museum has to complete for the exhibit opening is transcribing every document so that our visitors can understand what the document was about!

In honor of our Fabricaton Stage, we have set up activities outside of the exhibit space. You can come by and enjoy creating your own floor plan or try your hand at trascribing 3 old documents written by Presidents Kennedy, Washington, and Adams.
