On Saturday, November 17 the Museum of World Treasures opened its newest exhibit, Transcend: Religious and Royal Art of Asia, to the public. This exhibit discusses the transmission of Hinduism and Buddhism across the Asian continent and the iconography used in religious sculpture. This exhibit also discusses art and artifacts from a few Asian royal dynasties, such as the Majapahit kingdom of Indonesia.

As with all exhibits here at the Museum of World Treasures we can always expect some changes even after an exhibit opens. Expect to see some new and exciting changes to Transcend, including a large Chinese Dragon flying through the exhibit, and environmentally (and artifact) friendly LED lighting!

Recognize the Buddhist statuary? Recognize the room? We did some heavy (really heavy!) renovation and moving for this new exhibit. Here you can see the Buddhist priests flanking the entrance to the exhibit space.

A few of our Buddha statues in their new space.

This Buddha's smile is much more pronounced from below.

The Trimurti of the Hindu religion: Vishnu, Shiva, and Brahma.

Help the Han chancellor Cao Cao escape his enemies in this fun and challenging puzzle, Hua Rong Dao.

These figures represent Ming Dynasty Daoist priests and can be seen with other artifacts representing royal/dynastic life in Asia.

Come in and enjoy this enlightening exhibit today!
