The host of this event is Jim Finneran, a.k.a. Scruffy the Pyrate. Jim first volunteered with the Museum of World Treasures three years ago on Customer Appreciation Day. Since then, he has done living history presentations, assisted with the planning of Spring Break Week of Heroes, and built interactive exhibit pieces for the Museum, such as castle walls in the Creating the Crown exhibit and the Pyrate’s Corner in the Children’s Activity Center. Jim is excited to be participating in Pirates on the Patio for Talk Like a Pirate Day on Sept. 19!
Discovery Days is generally held on the last Saturday of every month, but is being held a week earlier in September due to Museum Day Live! on Sept. 26.
