Please support MOWT on #GivingTuesday
November 25, 2014
Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday... Giving Tuesday. After the turkey is gone and the deals are over, please remember to give back to your community on Tuesday, Dec. 2, a national day of giving.
On Tuesday, Dec. 2 we are asking the community for $5,000 to replace staff computers that are ten years old and running 2003 XP, no longer supported by Microsoft. Staff use these computers to plan tours for over 9,000 school-aged children annually, develop classroom aids for teachers, schedule monthly programs, research and create several new exhibits a year, catalog and protect our collection, keep the Museum running daily, and provide professional internships to local students.
The Museum of World Treasures is an educational nonprofit organization located in Wichita, KS. The Museum’s mission is to provide a gateway to the past which educates, entertains, and inspires lifelong learning. We strive to create educational experiences and opportunities for all ages through our programs and professional internships. All #GivingTuesday donations are tax-deductible and support the Museum's many educational programs.
