Vikings Skits and Games To Escort Attendees to the Realm of the Gods During “Night of Treasures: Party in Asgard” Event at Museum of World Treasures

VIP event tickets include hilarious original Viking “reenactments,” dinner, open bar, a signature cocktail in a commemorative glass, Norse trivia, appetizers and desserts, wine pull, raffle, and much more!
Museum of World Treasures will host its annual “Night of Treasures” fundraiser on Saturday, July 23, 2022. This year’s theme is “Party in Asgard.” This event is one of several annual fundraising events that support Museum of World Treasures’ mission to educate, entertain and inspire lifelong learning. The fundraiser and raffle, which will take place at Museum of World Treasures in Old Town, help fund operations to preserve and display the over 9,000 historical items housed in its walls.
The event will begin with a dinner from Culinary Catering for VIP ticketholders. Afterwards, a schedule of activities will guide guests as they wander through the building to meet Norse gods such as Freya, Odin, and other familiar faces. In between skits, visitors can look at Viking artifacts, visit a buffet table adorned with a six-foot-tall dragon head to taste food from Blue Moon Catering and Chocolate Cascades, and participate in trivia and raffles.
“I attended a recent rehearsal for the Viking skits. Even during the first readthrough of ‘The Cowardly Viking’ I was in stitches,” said Marketing Director, Kristin Martin. “We have such talented local writers and actors and we’re excited to share them with Wichita!”
Elsewhere throughout the Museum, Viking themed activities continue. An open bar titled “Loki’s Mead and Malice” will be tended by the god of Mischief himself and will serve up a signature cocktail. Foam ax throwing and the traditional Scandinavian game Kubb will test the skill of attending warriors. Members of the Society for Creative Anachronism’s local Barony of Vatavia will be present to talk about the history of Norway and to show items.
“Night of Treasures: Party in Asgard” is Saturday, July 23, 2022 and begins at 6:00 pm with dinner for $75 VIP ticket holders and 7:00 pm for $50 standard ticket holders.
