Holidays at the Museum

Do you have family visiting for the holidays? Give them a day of fun at the Museum of World Treasures! The Museum is open seven days a week but will have special holiday hours as follows: Thanksgiving Day, closed; Christmas Eve, closing early at 3 p.m.; Christmas Day, closed. The Museum will be open all other normal operating days, including Black Friday, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. Most monthly educational programs have been moved up a week to accommodate the holidays. Please check our website or for dates and times.
The week following Christmas the Museum will offer special family oriented activity days. Bring friends and family and explore history together! Don't forget to tag us on your social media uploads. Activities are scheduled 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and are free with general admission. The schedule of events is as follows:
Saturday, Dec. 27: Photo Scavenger Hunt. Bring your family and complete a fun list of photo opportunities inside the Museum of World Treasures. Make memories with your family of all ages!
Monday, Dec. 29: Dino Family Day. Make dinosaur hats as a family and dig for fossils. Don't forget to take a family photo with Ivan the T.rex!
Wednesday, Dec. 31: Family Time Capsule. Here at the Museum, we strive to protect and save great things of the past. Save your memories in a time capsule to delight your family both now and in the future!
Are you looking for stocking stuffers or unique holiday gifts? The Museum Store has fun history-related items for all ages. If you think your family has too many toys already, give them a Museum Membership and let them enjoy our educational programs all year.
Museum Members receive free admission and educational programs for a full year, discounts on additional tickets, summer camps, store merchandise, and two complementary adult tickets to be used at any time throughout the year. Members are also invited to exclusive exhibit openings and special events.
