Last Chance to See Dawn of the Great War

Do you enjoy military or World War I history? This weekend is your last chance to see Dawn of the Great War: A WWI Centennial Commemoration. Museum staff will take the current exhibit off display on Wednesday, January 28 to make room for Transcribing History: Pictographs, Parchment, and the Printing Press.

 

 

Dawn of the Great War was curated in the Rotating Gallery as part of our student intern program. Each spring, students apply for a Student Curator position to research, design, and create their own exhibit. Dawn of the Great War discusses the beginnings of World War I up to U.S. involvement. It explores not only the politics behind the war, but also the developments in technology, airplanes, and weapons used in the war.

 

The new exhibit will open to the public on Saturday, February 28. Please check back in February for more information on Transcribing History: Pictographs, Parchment, and the Printing Press.
