New Murder at the Museum Event

February 3, 2015

The Museum hosted its first Murder at the Museum event last November in partnership with the Wichita Public Library’s Big Read program. It was a huge success and tickets sold out within two weeks of going on sale. To accommodate the demand for these unique adult programs, the Museum will host another Murder at the Museum event at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 25.

Based on surveys of past participants, our next Murder at the Museum event will feature a Wild West theme, titled “The Deadwood Saloon.” These murder mystery events are unique because every attendee has a participant role. Guests won’t just watch the drama unfold; they will participate in the fun with acting roles to solve the crime.

Tickets for this event go on sale March 2 and will be available online and at the Museum. Tickets are $30 per adult or $25 for Museum Members. For just $10 per child, bring children over 3 years old for an alternative kids program while the adults solve the crime.

To improve on our first Murder at the Museum experience, guests for “The Deadwood Saloon” will have the option to volunteer for major or minor character roles, depending on their level of personal dramatic flair.

We encourage guests to plan Wild West costumes and learn some time-period slang. Murder at the Museum offers interactive entertainment, access to exhibits, hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar. This event will be held in our third-floor rentable banquet space.
