Join us Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 1:30pm for our monthly Senior Wednesday. This month our topic is "Insurance: You've Come a Long Way" presented by LeAnn Michalski. LeAnn's talk with present a history of the very beginnings of insurance and the various forms of insurance developed through the centuries.
About LeAnn Michalski
LeAnn had been in the insurance industry since 1983 and fully retired in 2020. She started her insurance career with the Mutual of Omaha companies as an agent and ultimately became a trainer/manager. She also contracted for a time with Kansas Farm Bureau and The New England.
In 1992 LeAnn stepped out the insurance industry to work with the United Way of the Plains as an account executive and ran the United Way Campaign as the Vice President of Campaign from 1994 to 1997.
In 1997 LeAnn came back to the insurance industry as a partner of Smart Insurance Services, an insurance training company. In 2001 the partnership dissolved and LeAnn started Shaffer Insurance Training. Her company provided, until her retirement, pre-licensing training for Life/Health, Property/Casualty and Securities Series 6/63. In addition, she had 42 Kansas approved Continuing Education Classes for insurance licensed professionals.
